VolunTECH: The Second Transnational Project Meeting in Paris to Build the Future of Digital Volunteering Together
From October 2nd to 3rd, 2025, the second Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ project VolunTECH – Voluntariado virtual y tecnológico como herramienta para promover valores cívicos y el emprendimiento social, funded by the European Commission, took place in Paris.

Coordinated by Plataforma del Voluntariat de la Comunitat Valenciana (Spain), VolunTECH brings together an international partnership composed of Asociació Esplai Social (Spain), Balkan Bridge EOOD (Bulgaria), Learning Unit Malta (Malta), Itinéraires: Destination Europe (France), Epistimi Gia Sena Astiki (Greece), and Mimma Dreams APS (Italy).
The shared goal is to promote digital and technological volunteering as a tool to foster civic values, youth participation, and social entrepreneurship across Europe.
Two Days of Exchange and Collaboration
The meeting, hosted by Itinéraires: Destination Europe in the heart of Paris, was a key moment to align project goals and share the achievements reached during the first year of implementation.
On the first day, partners discussed the progress made in recent months and the next activities to be developed collaboratively. The group worked on designing training paths for digital volunteers, aimed at recognizing and enhancing their acquired skills, and on strengthening the Toolkit for youth organizations—a practical resource including templates, models, and video tutorials to help associations engage young people in online volunteering.
In the afternoon, the team focused on the development of the VolunTECH platform, an innovative digital space that will connect volunteers, associations, and social enterprises across Europe. The platform aims to create an active, accessible, and sustainable network that values virtual volunteering experiences and encourages new collaborations.
The day concluded with a reflection session on communication and dissemination, ensuring that VolunTECH’s message continues to reach a wider audience.
The second day was dedicated to project management and monitoring, including a review of reports and the planning of upcoming activities. Mimma Dreams APS led the session on quality assessment, presenting the tools and methods implemented to ensure that each project phase meets shared objectives and generates a real impact on young volunteers.
The meeting ended with a collective evaluation and the definition of the next steps to be carried out in the following months, in a spirit of collaboration and mutual trust.
A Step Forward Toward a European Network of Digital Volunteers
The second TPM in Paris represented an important milestone for VolunTECH—not only for monitoring progress, but also for strengthening the bonds among European partners who share a vision of volunteering that is innovative, inclusive, and responsive to the challenges of today’s world.
Through this meeting, VolunTECH continues to grow as a platform for exchange, innovation, and participation, with the goal of building a European network of digital volunteers who are increasingly skilled, aware, and connected.
