Event "Is it normal that... Sexuality and Relationships"
On Friday, October 10, 2025, the event "Is It Normal That...? Sexuality and Relationships" was held at the Teatro del Polo Giovani Toti in Trieste, organized by Mimma Dreams APS, an organization committed to promoting human rights, inclusion, and psychosocial well-being through educational, artistic, and civic participation projects.

The meeting, characterized by broad participation, was introduced by the presentation of Mimma Dreams and its main initiatives, confirming its active role in promoting emotional health, dialogue, and inclusion. Afterwards, Mirko Manzella, psychologist and sexologist, introduced the central themes of the evening, inviting the audience to reflect in a participatory and non-judgmental way.
One of the most stimulating moments was the one dedicated to anonymous questions: through a digital platform projected in the room, participants were able to freely answer questions such as “What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of ‘pleasure’?” or “What animal would you associate with sexuality?”. The answers, collected in real time and shared on the screen, sparked a spontaneous and insightful discussion, breaking the ice on topics often considered taboo.

In the final part of the meeting, the audience was able to send further anonymous questions, which the expert answered thoroughly and respectfully, creating a space for authentic and engaged dialogue.
The atmosphere remained positive and curious until the end, with many attendees expressing the desire to repeat the initiative in the future, perhaps addressing more specific topics and maintaining the interactive and inclusive format.
During the day we also explored the No Gender Gap platform, a project funded by the European Commission that aims to bridge the gender gap through the training of young people and educators, providing answers and activities.
The event was successfully held in a public city space, representing an important step towards breaking down taboos related to sexuality and promoting a culture of dialogue, respect, and awareness.
