Mimma Dreams at Barcolana 57: the European route towards cooperation, mobility and European values

On October 9th, on the occasion of the Barcolana 57, the largest sailing event in the Mediterranean, Mimma Dreams APS participated for the first time as a guest at the stand of the Time to Move campaign, within the space curated by Europe Direct Trieste and the Municipality of Trieste.

It was an important moment to share who we are, what we do, and why we believe that European mobility and international cooperation are fundamental tools for building a fairer, more sustainable, and more aware future.
The initiative made it possible to connect with many young people, adults, students, teachers, and citizens curious to discover the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programs, but also the way in which Mimma Dreams APS puts into practice the European values of freedom, equality, inclusion, and civic participation.

Our stand became a space for dialogue, where people could discuss real experiences, listen to stories from those who have already lived a period of mobility, and answer the questions of those who dream of leaving.

What is Time to Move

The Time to Move campaign is a European initiative promoted by the Eurodesk network, which every October organizes hundreds of events across Europe, both online and in person, dedicated to those who wish to discover international mobility opportunities.
The goal is simple: to connect young people with the world, informing them about training programs, volunteering, internships, and cultural exchanges funded by the European Union.

On the official campaign website, there is an interactive map that gathers all ongoing events in Europe, allowing anyone to discover the nearest initiatives and join the network.
In Trieste, Europe Direct, Mimma Dreams APS, ARCI Servizio Civile FVG, and Enrico Armenia helped bring this campaign to a unique setting like the Barcolana, where mobility took on a symbolic value: an invitation to set sail, both metaphorically and literally, towards new experiences of learning and growth.

Upcoming appointments

On October 17 at 4:00 pm we are waiting for you in our offices to celebrate together the Erasmus Days 2025, an event open to everyone to get to know up close the programs funded by the European Commission and understand how to access them concretely.

An opportunity to exchange ideas, discover new opportunities, and chart your own course together in the sea of European possibilities.
