Planned Activities
Expected results and impacts
The project aims at concrete and significant results. A 70 per cent increase in the skills of sports practitioners in the use of virtual reality for inclusion is expected, and a 60 per cent improvement in their ability to manage and facilitate complex groups.
At the social level, the project will contribute to creating more inclusive and needs-oriented sports environments for young people with autism, promoting their active participation and improving dialogue between instructors and athletes. The information campaign will have a lasting impact, raising awareness of the importance of inclusive sports environments at both local and European level.
In the long term, the project will foster a cultural change in the way autism is perceived in sports environments, contributing to the building of more inclusive societies that respect diversity.
The main activities include a transnational workshop during which sports practitioners will be trained in the use of virtual reality to facilitate the inclusion of young people with autism. Subsequently, specific virtual trainings will be organised, dedicated to the acquisition of advanced facilitation techniques to improve group dynamics and communication in sports environments.
