Digital entrepreneurship skills for young mothers

Only 54% of women in Europe possess basic digital skills, and the percentage drops drastically when we talk about more advanced and strategic skills such as e-commerce, digital marketing, and AI.

Young mothers, often excluded from the labor market due to family responsibilities, face even greater difficulties in accessing quality training opportunities. This increases gender inequalities precisely in a rapidly growing sector that, instead, could become a concrete lever for emancipation.

MAM-DIGI HUB was created to address this need: to create a European ecosystem of training, networking, and mentoring dedicated to young mothers who want to build an independent professional future thanks to digital technology.

Planned Activities

Expected results and impacts

Mam-Digi Hub aims to support the development of digital entrepreneurial skills for young mothers through 3 specific objectives:

 

1) Create innovative training courses for young mothers, integrating artificial intelligence, data analysis, and digital marketing, to develop skills in digital entrepreneurship on a European scale;

2) Create a transnational digital hub to connect young mothers aspiring to become digital entrepreneurs with business coaches from the VET sector, offering innovative training resources and facilitating networking among participants;

3) Identify, share, and promote success stories of young mother entrepreneurs, to inspire other women in creating innovative businesses.
 

1) Kick-off meeting and launch (Trieste)

Two-day initial meeting to officially launch the project: partners align on objectives, roles, and schedule, also defining work tools and indicators to monitor progress and impact.
 

2) Online workshop to develop training content

A series of online workshops dedicated to creating a training program for young mothers, focusing on digital entrepreneurship: e-commerce, digital marketing, data analysis, and the use of AI to develop concrete ideas and projects.

 

3) In-person workshop in North Macedonia: creation of the MAM-DIGI HUB

Intensive workshop (4/5 days) to build and test the project's digital hub: a space that allows young mothers to access training resources and connect with business coaches and opportunities for mentoring and networking.

 

4) Transnational digital storytelling campaign #MamDigiSuccess

International communication activity dedicated to collecting and sharing stories of young mother entrepreneurs: the goal is to inspire, motivate, and make visible the potential of women in digital through social content and validated testimonials.

 

5) Closing and enhancement of results

Final online event to present results and impact, collect feedback, and define continuity strategies. In this phase, local activities (Open Day) are also planned to multiply dissemination and make the model replicable.
