Planned Activites

Espected results and impact

The mobility participants were 11 adults enrolled in adult secondary education programmes (ESA) at the EPA Berbés centre, accompanied by educational staff.

The group was characterised by strong heterogeneity in terms of age, cultural background, and life paths, including people who had resumed their studies after interruptions, migrants, and adults with limited experience of international mobility.

The programme alternated training sessions, educational visits, and experiential activities, using non-formal and participatory methodologies.

The main activities included:

welcome session and presentation of the Erasmus+ programme, with cooperative games and group activities focused on European values

a city rally in the centre of Trieste, exploring the city’s multicultural and Mitteleuropean identity

visit to the Foiba di Basovizza, as a moment of reflection on 20th-century historical memory

visit to San Giusto Hill and Castle, linking local history to broader European processes

trip to Ljubljana and visit to Metelkova Mesto, as an example of alternative cultural expression and civic participation

a creative workshop on European values, using posters, collage, and storytelling

visit to the Risiera di San Sabba, the only Nazi extermination camp in Italy

visit to the gardens of Miramare Castle

The mobility generated significant outcomes at both individual and group level:

increased awareness of European values

strengthening of social, civic, and intercultural competences

development of skills in dialogue, cooperation, and critical reflection

deeper understanding of European historical memory

increased motivation and confidence in lifelong learning

The experience helped make Europe a lived experience rather than an abstract concept, strengthening the connection between education, local contexts, and active citizenship.
