GEN P
Emotional intelligence to fight gender inequality
GEN-P was created to counter gender-based violence by acting upstream, on its cultural and relational dynamics, by strengthening the emotional intelligence skills of young people aged 18 to 30.

The aim is to make young people more aware of the mechanisms of stereotypes, power and control that can generate discriminatory and violent behaviour, providing them with practical tools to recognise, prevent and transform them.
The project also aims to create structured spaces for youth leadership, where participants are not mere recipients of content, but authors of messages, micro-actions and concrete proposals to promote gender equality in their communities. A further goal is to bring young people closer to European values and to the principles of the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025, translating them into reasoned, shared positions through dialogue with policy-makers.

Expected results and impacts
- Greater awareness of stereotype, power and control mechanisms and of one’s own relational dynamics
- Development of emotional intelligence skills applicable in personal, social and professional life
- Acquisition of practical tools to recognize, prevent and transform discriminatory or violent behaviors
- Direct experience of active protagonism in proposing micro-actions and messages for gender equality
The project combines local activities and youth mobilities:
- 3 youth mobilities: two in Cilento and one in Trieste, each with 24 participants coming both from the host area and from the partner context. The mobilities include experiential training on emotional intelligence, participatory workshops, structured debate sessions and moments of exchange with decision-makers
- 2 Youth-led local events without mobility, one for each organisation, with about 40 young people per event and a strong presence of participants with fewer opportunities
The activities will lead to the creation of an awareness campaign (short video and podcast), replicable micro-actions in local communities, simulation sessions and political debate, and a practical handbook on emotional intelligence as a lever for equality.
