Project to combat violence against women
The idea for this project was born with the aim of combating the now widespread phenomenon of violence against women in all its forms.
Project reference
‘Seminiamo Parità’ intends to act on several levels, combining awareness-raising and training with the development of concrete intervention strategies to build a more equal, inclusive and gender-stereotype-free society.
Firstly, the project aims to promote greater awareness among young people about gender-based violence, the dynamics that fuel it, and prevention and intervention strategies.
Another project objective is to involve young people in the creation of practical and innovative solutions that can be adopted at local level to prevent and combat gender-based violence.
Last but not least, Seminiamo parità intends to foster a local support network based on the cooperation between young people, local institutions, Anti-Violence Centres (CAV) and associations.

Expected results and impacts
The main impact, expected during the implementation of the project, is the empowerment of participants on the topic of violence against women. Indeed, they, being placed in a decision-making situation, will be encouraged to collectively reflect on the issue, form opinions and confront each other.
This process will foster the development of their sense of belonging to the democratic life of their country. Let's Sow Equality is also designed to generate long-term impacts, affecting actors other than the direct participants, such as:
Development of critical thinking regarding stereotypes and gender dynamics influenced by cultures and traditions.
Stimulating activism through the promotion of the fundamental rights of each citizen.
Providing appropriate tools for personal transformation, promoting more respectful, balanced and conscious relationships both on a personal and social level.
The project aims to involve 87 young people under 30: (volunteers, activists, youth workers and students) and 16 policy makers.
Participants will be introduced to policy makers and will have the opportunity to discuss the issue of violence against women. In fact, the young people will be divided into focus groups to identify the causes and consequences of the phenomenon, proposing viable solutions through the exchange of ideas.
At the end of each session, the groups will meet in plenary to ensure that the topics have been properly elaborated.
Participants will actively contribute to the improvement of existing procedures against violence against women by proposing action plans to be implemented by decision-makers.
Throughout its development, Sowing Equality will ensure a balanced participation (50% women, 50% men) and will involve young people with fewer opportunities.
