Sustainable Tourism in Rural Areas Through the European Green Deal for Youth.
he S.T.R.A.T.E.G.Y project aims to promote sustainable tourism as an integrated strategy to address the challenges of rural areas, preserve the environment and contribute to local economic development.

The specific objectives are:
Promote sustainable tourism: Raise awareness and train participants on the importance of promoting sustainable tourism in rural areas, in line with the Green Deal and the European Rural Pact.
Share and disseminate best practices: Encourage the exchange of experiences among participating regions in the field of non-formal education on sustainable tourism.
Develop skills and innovative strategies: Provide youth workers with practical tools to engage young people in promoting and experiencing sustainable tourism.
Foster transnational collaboration: Create networks of collaboration among participants and partner organizations for future European synergies.
The project recognizes the importance of active youth involvement and aims to equip youth workers with the necessary skills to turn them into key players in promoting sustainable tourism.

Espected results and impact
The project was set up to produce tangible benefits for participants and partner organisations, through
Strengthening organisational capacity and sustainability through new skills and strategies.
Adoption of sustainable practices in the organisations' daily work.
Increased youth participation through the attractiveness of the proposed activities.
Lasting collaborations between partners and opportunities for new international projects.
Continuous support through the international network created.
The project addresses different target groups and includes activities structured according to non-formal education methods. The main activities are aimed at the following target groups
Youth workers: professionals already active in partner organisations or as external collaborators.
Young aspiring youth workers: young people interested in growing in the field of non-formal education and sustainable tourism.
Members of other youth organisations or rural educational institutions: to broaden the project's impact at local and national level.
The most relevant activity of this project was the training course held in Sapri, involving 4 participants from each organisation, for a total of 20 people. The sessions were accompanied and led by 2 trainers and 1 facilitator.
